20 quid well spent :)
Geommy Wars on the DS. It's really good, the controls are nice, and they've extended the basic idea enough that it has a lot more variety than the Xbox version which I'd kinda got burned out on a while ago. There aren't that many good shooters on the DS and it satisfies that need nicely.

Yes. Great shooter, but it makes my thumbs hurt!

I was tempted by this today. I've got £20 on a Game giftcard as well. Got the Wii version, which is ace.

Main drawback is that I've got huge hands, though - and playing the transferred DS version of Retro Evolved gives me riotous cramp :(

I thought I was the only one who enjoyed this game.

I like it because it shows off just how much the DS is capable of.

The slowdown is unoticable once I get playing because you just get sucked in and think that it is part of the game or something.

The Wii version on the other hand hasn't played well with me. It's a pity but the DS version is fantastic nonetheless.

I like this version more than the 360 one to play; currently it barely leaves my DS (except for Jam Sessions). Generally I seem to find myself in a retro twitch game-y mood of late - Geometry Wars DS, Every Extend Extra Extreme, Rez HD and Space Giraffe being amongst my favourites. It's like the '80s again but better!
